This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you:

  • visit thelionsforchrist.com or any sub-domain;
  • listen to or download our podcast;
  • read or comment on our blog;
  • fill out a contact, prayer-request, or “Join the Pride” form;
  • make a donation through Tithe.ly or other processors;
  • interact with us on social media platforms that embed on our site.

We respect the strictest laws that may apply to you, including the EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA, Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, and similar U.S. state laws. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (COPPA).

4. How We Use Information

  1. Deliver content (podcast streams, blog pages, newsletter).
  2. Process donations via third-party PCI-compliant processors (Tithe.ly, PayPal).
  3. Send emails you have requested (newsletters, episode notices).
  4. Moderate comments and prevent spam (Akismet, CleanTalk, reCAPTCHA).
  5. Improve the site through aggregated analytics (Google Analytics 4).
  6. Safeguard the ministry by detecting fraud, abuse, or threats.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.


5. Cookies & Tracking Tech

On your first visit you’ll see a cookie banner that lets you:

  • Customize per category.

6. Analytics & Embedded Media

  • We use Google Analytics 4 with IP-anonymization.
  • Podcast audio is served directly from our host; play counts are aggregated and never linked to your name.
  • Blog embeds (YouTube, Spotify) may set their own cookies. Their policies apply.

7. Payment Processors

All card data is handled by:

They share with us only your name, email, donation amount, and transaction ID.

Servers are located in the United States. By using our site you understand that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the USA.


9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated data;
  • Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • Port your data to another service;
  • Opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising, sale/sharing);
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

  • SSL/TLS encryption on every page.
  • Daily malware scans and firewall (Wordfence).
  • Least-privilege user roles; 2-factor admin logins.
  • Encrypted off-site backups retained 30 days.

No internet transmission is 100 % secure, but we work diligently to protect your data.


11. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law (e.g., U.S. tax records for 7 years). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.


12. Children

Our content targets adults. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child under 13 (or the relevant age in your country), contact us immediately and we will remove it.


13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will change. Significant changes will be announced by banner or email.
